Healing Martial Arts (HMA)
Qigong is a healing martial art. Under the right conditions the human body has the ability to heal itself, by practising Ancient Chinese Martial Arts we can create the perfect conditions for body to facilitate healing. By harnessing the techniques of Shaolin and Wudang internal martial arts, this practise is designed to heal, strengthen and condition the mind and body.
This is achieved through Skeletal and muscular calibration, Neuro-endocrine stimulation and metabolic optimisation. Think acupuncture without needles - Taichi has the similar effects on the body as acupuncture, with the benefit of promoting functional movement. Taichi is often translated as Meditation in movement.
Using focused breathing techniques synchronised with movement we achieve a state of dynamic meditation. Simultaneously strengthening body and mind.
